¡Hola y bienvenidos! 

In this class, notebook assignments will be given daily.  Notebook grades are based on completion and effort.  In that regard, you should be aware that the high notebook grades you might see indicate that assignments are regularly finished, but is not necessarily indicative of accuracy on the assignment.  Students in this class often find themselves frustrated at times and find that they need to budget more time than years past for math homework.  This is typical and needed to get students ready for AP Calculus next year.  If after going over homework in class, students still have questions regarding an assignment, they should take advantage of the tutoring opportunities listed.

We will be using graphing calculators regularly in this class.  I have asked that the students get a TI-83 or TI-84 to use at home.  Students may check one out from the book room or purchase their own  Also, be assured that there will be many times when students will be required to calculate with brains, paper, pencil, and no calculator.  I think it is important that students learn appropriate use of calculators.
